At Perfect Circuit, a staple shop for modular synthesizers, keyboards and spacey sound equipment, I was faced with a daily creative challenge - how do I make these often similar-looking products stand out? With simplistic faceplate designs, the modules can blend together, so out-of-the-box thinking and trendiness was required. I would gain inspiration from the company's website, researching brands to design colorful, textured backgrounds representing the product and its vibe. Showcasing goods on artistic backdrops supporting sales, marketing and product teams demanded tapping into music technology's leading edge. This unconventional category asked for forward-conceptualization. Leaning into innovative aesthetics for this equipment intrinsic to crafting digital soundscapes, my graphics amplified modulars' futuristic essence. Unifying visual communication, I designed backgrounds to give each module at this one-of-a-kind shop its own platform to shine.
